i get to know myself when you're not around
so maybe that's why you look at me like you've never even seen me before
and so i ask a couple questions
ones i have no answers to
and then i repeat to myself like im crazy because i'm never gonna listen to you

i don't even know myself at all
but it's ok i'll just deal with it
it's not like i have internal hatred
i just don't really wanna be seen in this body

and now i've got nowhere to run to
when shit decides to hit the fan
and i'll only plan to be a better person
when you can be the bigger man
now i'll try to find someone special
someone who will call me their own
and i'm not sure where we are right now
but god it feels a lot like home

but all the pretty people, they hate their bodies
and everything they do is uncomfortable
how can i learn to be a person if everyone better than me is miserable
so i'll drown out every thought i've ever had with pictures of sexy people doing cooler shit than me
and i'll overanalyze everything they do until i can't stand the thought of myself

guilty people do obscene things when given the opportunity
so i'll try to forget
how to act human
to avoid responsibility

why does any of this matter
are any of you worth it
don't know if i can take it
i don't think im gonna make it
